Reading: We are always adding new Sight Words. We are learning about adding the subject predicates when and where to our writing. We are building compound words and taking a look at cause and effect.
Math: Geometry and how shapes are similar and different noting sides, lines, and points.
Science: We are starting our “Chick” unit. Students are connecting their prior knowledge on plants and animals to the life cycle. They are very excited to put the eggs in the incubator!
Social Studies: We are starting our unit on Flat Stanley! Students create a individualized character to send to a friend around the globe and we get to learn more about Geography, different cultures, directions, and social justice issues.
Art: Creating Valentines, Free Draw, Painting special hearts for our parents, and more!
Religion: We have learned about St. Patrick. Read the Sunday readings. Prepared for our first mass. Created “Good deed beads” with our 3rd grade buddies.
3/2 – Read to Kindergarten in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
