Every good action and every perfect gift is from God. James 1:17
Journeys: We are reading stories about animals and making connections to informational writing. We are building on our phonics each week while using more organizers. We continue to grow our spelling abilities and are working to memorize those sight words that do not make phonetic sense. Our reading abilities keep growing every week and we are now writing up to three sentences!
My Math: We are looking at Counting on, Doubles, Regrouping, Making ten to understand three digit addition or subtraction up to 20, and we continue to develop our problem solving abilities!
Science: We are discovering information about the animals that God has created. We are asking questions about habitat, food chain, how does this animal move, and what are the inherent traits. Students will be working on this process to form an informational writing piece as well as create an animal habitat!
Religion: We have met in family groups, regularly see our buddies, we attend mass, pray before all meals, and learn from the Second Step program. We are learning about prayer and the many ways God tries to build a personal relationship with each of us.
Social Studies: We are looking at holidays, Halloween, Diwalli, Thanksgiving, and how people celebrate in a community, We are looking at timelines and what people did a long time ago and what they do now. Students are using their sequencing words from our Journeys Reading program..
Art: We have had our first Art Lit, Created owls, made fall trees and will be working on some fun turkey art.
